Nancy’s passion for academic travel began in college in the 1980s with an interim in France and an around-the-world semester program which immersed students in Egypt, Israel, India, Nepal, Taiwan and Japan. Nancy was hooked and, after an internship at the U.S. embassy in Kathmandu, became a 30+ year veteran of the travel industry. After working for Continental Airlines and British Airways, Nancy started creating international, educational travel programs at the American Council for International Studies and for Smithsonian and Road Scholar at Saga Holidays. For the last 24 years Nancy lived in Marrakesh, Morocco, where she ran a destination management company. She oversaw sales, customer service, operations, program creation, supplier procurement, marketing, staff management and more. Nancy is proficient in French and has an extensive multi-cultural understanding. In Nancy’s spare time, she serves as a board advisor for a newly discovered archaeological site in Aghmat, Morocco.
