Written by Academic Travel Abroad’s President, Kate Simpson.
In the past two years, various colleagues asked me why we didn’t participate in the Washington Post’s Top Workplace survey. What a wonderful thing to ask the President of an organization! I couldn’t think of a better compliment.
Yet the answer was simple — though Academic Travel Abroad counts over 90 employees worldwide, we had fewer than 50 in the DC metro area. You need 50 or more employees in the area to qualify. In 2016, we count 52 area employees. And today we are proud to announce we have been selected, based on an anonymous survey of our staff, as a Washington Post Top Workplace!
We are humbled and honored by this award, and thank our employees near and far for making it so easy to love our jobs and come into work every day.
